With everything that’s happened at Highbury over the past 7 days, things are really looking up. Players signing, players agreeing to stay, important players coming back from injury, it all really has been a whirlwind week.
Arsenal go into this game on the back of a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Wigan in the semi final of the Carling Cup. The loss will probably not have any knock on effect to the confidence, as the squad which faced the Latics was mostly made up of youngsters and fringe player. The events of the last week however, may have an effect on the confidence for the better.
It’s vital that Arsenal win this game so they can keep up the pressure on the Champions League places.
