Wilshere Hails ‘Leader’ Xhaka

Arsenal`s best summer signing so far is midfielder Granit Xhaka.

Xhaka is a highly rated midfielder who comes with a reputation for being a combative player (if not a little reckless at times) who likes to take charge on the pitch. Bless with a deft left wand with an eye for a pass he`s certainly got the attention of many people at Arsenal Football Club, not least Jack Wilshere who has faced Granit on a number of occasions.

Wilshere claims his new teammate is that good that he can single handedly “hold the midfield together”.

‘I’ve played against him a few times at youth level for England and also for the first team with England, so I know him quite well,’ Wilshere told Arsenal.com in America. ‘I’ve always thought he was a good player, he’s very strong and has got a good left foot. He’s a leader, he can hold the midfield together and can get things going from back to front. He’s a good signing.”
