Michael Gray has been talking about Jack Wilshere and how he feels the England international would be a ‘perfect fit’ for both Manchester City and Manchester United should he leave Arsenal in the summer.

The midfielder has already made it clear he’ll decide his Arsenal future at the end of the season as keeping Bournemouth in the Premier League is Wilshere’s priority at this point in time.

But if Wilshere did leave the Gunners and any of the other top six clubs are looking to buy homegrown talent they need look no further than the 25 year old.

Former Sunderland and England defender Gray told talkSPORT, via football.london.

‘Jack Wilshere is good enough to play in any of those top six sides. If you want to buy English this summer, where else do you go? I think he`s the perfect fit for one of the Manchester sides.’

As we know Wilshere’s existing Arsenal contract will expire in the summer of 2018 but as things stand no talks have taken place on a new deal so his valuable could come down, especially if he decides he wants to leave.

Gray would still expect Wilshere to fetch £25m-£30m and that would be ‘a bargain’ for would be suitors.

‘You`re buying a 25-year-old player, who had experience but still has his best years ahead of him. He`s still got another seven or eight years. I think he`d be at a decent price. If you have to go and pay £25m or £30m for Jack Wilshere, that`s still a bargain!’
