Well, according to reports from Spanish outlet AS – via the Express – Arsenal could compete with a number of Premier League rivals for Keylor Navas.

Navas’ struggles to convince Real Madrid he’s capable of being the no.1 at the Bernabeu in the long-term are expected to see the Colombian international leave the Champions League holders despite having a contract until 2020.

This speculation claims Manchester City are the club showing most interest in Navas with Pep Guardiola looking to replace Claudio Bravo having been ‘unimpressed’ since his arrival from Barcelona last summer.

It was reported Liverpool also hold an interest in the Madrid keeper too but a potential bid for Manchester United’s David De Gea could result in a revival of the previously proposed swap deal that fell through in 2015.

Arsenal signing Navas is probably less likely than a potential arrival of Eibar defender Florian Lejuene, who has also been linked with the Gunners.

Central defender Lejuene – who is also capable of playing in midfield – had been signed by Man City in 2015 before being loaned back to Girona. He then moved onto Eibar permanently a year later.

An £8.7m release clause will reportedly be activated by Arsenal in the summer.
