After emerging from my pit after a particularly late night, I whacked the kettle on, powered up the laptop and settled down for a bit of pre-game surfing.

Imagine how I laughed, after reading an article over at Vital Chelsea in which it was mooted that the Blues maybe in line to sign Pascal Chimbonda from Spurs, when I read this quote from the player.

‘I would like to play for Arsenal one day. Who knows where I will end up?’

‘Football is a strange game and you can never tell where you will end up.’

“Arsenal are a great club but right now I am at Tottenham.”

Now I’ve had a quick shufty, but can’t find the quote anywhere, however if anyone (Merlin) can tell me where the quote has originated from I would be forever grateful, because that is too funny.

What a great start to my day.

  • CHIMBONDA EYES GUNNERS SWITCH PASCAL Chimbonda last night risked the wrath of T*ttenham fans by claiming: I want to play for Arsenal. French defender Chimbonda has been a big hit since moving from Wigan last summer. But on the eve of T*ttenham’s clash with Charlton he opened the door to arch-rivals Arsenal. “I would like to play for Arsenal one day,” said Chimbonda. “Who knows where I will end up? “Football is a strange game and you can never tell where you will end up. “Arsenal are a great club but right now I am at T*ttenham.”

Quoted from todays people (reliable source I know!)

  • he’s a right little social climber that one, does he give a ***** about anywhere that he plays? I mean obv. its only Wigan and the Totts 2 of the leagues minnows but even so, show some loyalty you ruthless little fart.

  • niko, apart from the outrage u feel abt his lack of loyalty, u’ve gotta agree this is hilarious from an arsenal perspective. chimbonda is never going to be able to live this one down with the spuds, and he seems to be a favourite amongst most of them.

  • of course mate, from our perspective its hilarious, don’t feel outrage prits, but I do think hes a cock, the way he ditched Wigan a club that gave him all the opportunities, its just indicative of the mercenary attitude nowadays but I suppose Spuds by their very nature as a “stepping stone” club (copyright Mr D. Berbatov) are used to it.

  • lol. Funny stuff, but I have to agree with nikolaijns. Pretty sad from a non-arsenal perspective.
