Election Time In Spain Again?

It must be that time of year again.

I’m not too sure of the actual dates, but I’m pretty sure that it’s almost times for the Spanish football supporters and share holders to make their choices and choose a president for another year. You can set your clock by them.

‘But how can you tell Paul?’

It’s easy, in time honoured tradition, with all the truth and honesty of George W Bush, in typical politician style, the presidential candidates are begging to promise the supporters of the respective clubs, players and personnel they can not deliver.

Unfortunately for us, being a club of our size and stature, owning players revered the world over, we, or should I say our players and manager, become targets every year.

That’s right folks, the time has arrived, despite making statements on no less than five occasions since January alone that he is going nowhere, for Barcelona to once again claim they are entering talks for the Arsenal captain, Thierry Henry.

SkySports are suggesting that Barca claim talks are already underway and Henry could leave for a poultry £13 Million. Click here for full details of the lies.

Surely it’s now time for Fifa/UEFA to act. This blatant and public tapping up has gone on for years, how many people linked with our club alone have been connected with the bullshit over the past few seasons? I know I seem to write this self same article every year, but every year we had to put up with these insufferable idiots.

Ok so these regular rumours never come to pass, but as with Patrick Vieira and Jose Antonio Reyes the constant speculation eventually takes it’s toll and the players succumb to the pressure.
