On Tuesday evening Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil put himself into Premier League history books when it came to chances created in a single match.
Arsenal hosted Sunderland at the Emirates Stadium for the game on Tuesday evening and took a two nil victory with a brace of goals for Alexis Sanchez.
Whilst Sanchez took his own praise as they kept their Champions League hopes alive, it was Ozil who went down in history as he created 12 individual chances on the evening to move him into top spot in the all time chances created in a single match chart.
Ozil features for a second time in the table with 10 chances created back on February 2, 2016 in the clash against Southampton.
Since his Premier League debut, the German has now registered more assists in the top flight than any other player – 41 – and against Sunderland, Arsenal tally of 36 shots was also the most the club have registered in a single game.
