David Ospina looks as if he could leave Arsenal at the end of the season which could lead to a shock return to North London of Wojciech Szczesny, who has spent the past two seasons on loan at Roma.

A possible, in fact probable, exit of Ospina would leave Arsenal short of cover for Petr Cech as it would leave only Emiliano Martinez as a senior keeper the Gunners have if Wojciech didn’t return.

The Sun has reported Ospina has decided he’s no longer willing to play second fiddle at the Emirates Stadium himself and wants to leave – this request will be granted despite having two years on his contract. Ospina’s unprepared to potentially risk his 2018 World Cup spot with Colombia so he’ll seek pastures new. Fenerbahce reportedly ‘lead the race’ for Ospina, 28, but are only willing to pay £2.5m – half the Arsenal valuation?

Szczesny, who last played for Arsenal in the 2015 FA Cup final, could find himself making a surprise return? However, should this happen would Szczesny, 27, be happy returning as deputy himself once again after two seasons of regular football in Serie A with Roma?

The Sun seems to think it’s this or promoting Martinez to second choice? So, a signing is out of the question then… Talking signings that of Sead Kolasinac – despite claims to the contrary – HASN’T been agreed. The Bosnian has been ‘in touch’ with Arsenal but a deal hasn’t been signed according to his father, Faik Kolasinac.

He was quoted by the Sun: ‘Sead has not signed anything yet. He was in touch with Arsenal, but he is not Arsenal`s player yet.’
