Confidence Returns For Arsenal Striker

|

Arsenal’s record transfer buy Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has said he believes his confidence has now returned following victory over Watford at the weekend.

The Gabon international became our record signing in the January transfer window as he made the switch from Borussia Dortmund and having netted on his debut, he did then go without a goal in three, but successive matches against Brighton and Watford saw him find the net and he now feels he’s better adjusted to the Premier League challenge he faces.

Speaking to the Official Site as he met with the media having picked up his third goal for the club, he explained.

‘Yes, it’s starting to come. Today was a great team effort. I think the confidence is back I think, for me as well. I am feeling better and I have to thank my team-mates.’

With Watford being his second taste of victory since his switch from Germany, he went on to say that he felt he was now past his tough start to life at the club and he was looking forward to ending the season on a high having now more adjusted to his teammates and the country.

‘Of course it’s not always easy to come in into a new team and integrate into the group, everyone knows that. So it was a difficult moment for the club, but now are back on form, and that’s good for us.’
