Winds Of Change

The time has come for Arsene Wenger to take stock and make some radical changes.

It’s plainly obvious to all and sundry that Arsenal have been found out, the whole of the Premiership now knows how to beat our game, especially away from our Highbury home.

Bolton’s Sam Allardyce has a lot of explaining to do, as I believe it was he, who first came up with the strategy to foil our immaculate football……pack the midfield and kick the crap out of us, and it seems to work a treat.

As I’ve said before, the sale of Patrick Vieira has seriously weakend the core of our team. It’s not the loss of Paddy himself that is the problem, but the lack of a beefy replacement.

Come the January transfer window Wenger has to scoure the world for a central beast, he needs to bring some fight to the squad and also some competition. On the subject of competition, I am a firm believer that Mr Ljungberg has become somewhat complacent about his place in the team and the purchase of the correct right winger would not only give Freddie the kick up the arse that he needs, but would also enhance our squad and make the bench look much more satisfying.

A change in central defence would also not go amiss, while I am a huge admirer of Big Sol, he seems to have slowed down an awful lot over the past two seasons, maybe due to the injuries he keeps suffering. The time has come to throw Phillepe Senderos into the fray and watch him grow into one of the world’s best centre backs. Chelsea games aside, Senderos has looked hugely impressive this season and he now deserves his chance, and how good would it be to have someone with the experience of Sol Campbell coming from the bench.

So please Arsene, no more promising talent, we need seasoned, proven professionals in the new year. You have the money……..lets spend it.
