Arsene Wenger is confident that his youthful Arsenal line up can carry on with it’s amazing cup run by beating Tottenham at White Hart Lane.

Wenger, this season, has mantained his policy of fielding a team of younger players in the League cup competition after his boys have reached three of the last four Carling cup semi finals.

Just because this seasons semi final is against bitter (Is there a more acurate description?) rivals, Spurs, that doesn’t mean he’ll do anything different.

‘We want to repeat our previous performances we have had so far in this competition – if we can win at Everton and win at Liverpool, then we can win at Tottenham as well. Now it is down to the boys to prove that,’ he said in his programme notes ahead of the game against Manchester United.

‘It will be a very special atmosphere, and we will be ready for it.

‘Do not forget we were in the semi-finals last year and we feel our young players have improved since then.’

Once again the night shift beckons for this Gooner, but fortunately, that means I’ll be available for the home leg!!
