After the news that Jose Antonio Reyes was ready to quit Arsenal for Madrid yesterday & then the quick denial of all the rumours, dodgy Spanish site AS.com claimed that Real Madrid were still on the hunt for both Reyes & Fabregas (again).
But in what seems to be an exclusive interview for the site, Arsene Wenger has warned off potential suitors saying that he is ‘counting’ on the players for next season.
Wenger insists that the players are not for sale and they will be gooners in the coming season.
After allegedly telling reports that they couldn’t have a photograph, he then stated,
‘But if you have come to ask about Reyes or Cesc I can tell you that they are not for sale. Arsenal has not received any offer for those players. I am counting on them for next season.’
So there you have it folks, no offers, no sale, no chance.
