Arsene Wenger has could make a move for Southampton`s Gareth Bale in the summer transfer window.
Weger was questioned several times in the last month about the possibility of bringing Bale to The Emirates but each time he denied that Arsenal would bid for him in January, while always remaining coy about the prospect of signing him.
When asked if he was pleased that Bale had stayed at Southampton Wenger replied: “yes, that`s right.”
“The good thing is that we still have a chance. He’s a special talent.”
Bale is valued by Soton at around £10Million, a valuation Wenger is unlikely to meet. I honestly can`t see Wenger moving for the Welshman.
Why? It`s simple, Clichy is still only 21 and we have another lightening quick Frenchman coming through the ranks at Arsenal – Armand Traore.
Perhaps Wenger is trying to push the price up for our friendly neighbours?
