It`s that time of year again where the transfer window is open and the faint whiff of madness fills the air.
As usual at Vital Arsenal we want to try give a little of what everyone wants and while we know there are many people who get annoyed and frustrated by the transfer rumour mill, there are fans out there who like to indulge in the fantasy and possibilities of it all.
So we have brought back our Rumours thread to lump all Arsenal related transfer rumours into one place for people to enjoy/discuss/keep away from. So as usual, if transfer rumours really aren`t your thing, keep away from these articles.
We`ve got a pretty gentle one to ease you back into things.
We start off with the most plausible rumour of the day and one with actual quotes that sees Saint-Etienne defender Loic Perrin claim that Arsenal have made contact about a possible move for the 29 year old defender.
The Gunners are in desperate need of some defensive cover and at 29 with 10 years with his current club he seems experienced enough. That said, Arsenal wouldn`t contact the player before speaking with his club, would they?
Meanwhile the Mirror reckon that Wenger is preparing a £16M bid for Newcastle midfielder Moussa Sissoko whilst at the same time claiming Arsenal will seek to tie down Joel Campbell to a new deal before sending him out on loan.
Last but not least in this opening round of rumours, Jose Mourinho says there is no chance that Petr Cech will join Arsenal in the transfer window, though his agent says the helmet-headed shot stopper would welcome the interest.
