Arsene Wenger has revealed that he has had bids for Freddie Ljungberg and Jeremie Aliadiere, as well as confirming that Lauren is in talks with other clubs about a free transfer in the summer.

Explaining the Freddie Ljungberg situation Wenger said: ‘You have conflicting reports because you don’t read our website

‘He’s a player in our squad. It’s as simple as that – we are not on the market to sell Freddie Ljungberg.

‘We had offers, yes, but I just gave you my answer. It is that we decide to keep him.

Arsene also said that he would like to keep sAliadiere at the club after he showed his class against Liverpool in the Carling Cup.

‘Aliadiere? I want him here but can I keep him happy with enough games? My big problem at the moment is he deserves to play but there’s a lot of congestion in the squad.

‘He’s a top striker and showed that against Liverpool. I, personally, want to keep him but I won’t put a knife to his throat if he’s not happy here.

‘I want to keep him – he’s become a very strong striker and I don’t want to lose him. We have had offers for Aliadiere.

‘Lauren is different. He’s at the end of his contract at the end of the season. I would love him to stay until the end of his contract but, anyway, he can talk to anybody and we cannot stop that.’
