Reyes Out To Burn His Bridges

José Antonio Reyes has once again stated that he does not want to return to London.

After publicly saying on at least half a dozen occasions this season that he doesn’t want to return to arsenal, he felt the need to do it again.

Reyes had a great start to life in Madrid, forcing David Beckham out of the team for a short time before Capello began rotating him with Robinho and Becks.

Since then his form has takem a nose dive and it now looks likely that Real Madrdid will not exercise the clause in his loan contract that allows them to sign him for a fixed fee.

Personally I think he’s a fantastic player, it’s just terribly difficult to get the best out of him week in, week out. But it was feard (and I mean feard) by some Arsenal fans that he would have to return to Arsenal.

Reyes has put those ‘fears’ to bed though. Speaking to the Spanish press he said: ‘I wouldn’t like to go back to London.

‘If I can’t stay at Real Madrid I hope I can go to another club in Spain, but I’m not intending to go back to London.

‘It’s not that playing for Arsenal was a disagreeable experience, but I didn’t like the climate after being in Spain.’
