Normal Service Has Resumed

After a season and a bit of really weird results with regards to the North London rivalry, it finally appears that ‘Normal Service Has Resumed’.

Arch rivals, Tottenham Hotspur, last year pushed the mighty Gunners closer to winning the North London bragging rights than they have in the previous ten campaigns, some Gooners even worried that the Spuds may even be close to over taking us with regards to overall play and league positions.

To be fair, Tottenham did have an excellent season last year, finally, after an extremely long absence getting the lilywhites back into Europe, but even at their best, they couldn’t edge past a below par Arsenal.

The 12 months of gloating and taunts from that lot up the road was only made bearable by a last day reprieve, that rather aptly saw the last ever game at Highbury finish in the Gunners pipping Spurs to that vital Champions League spot.

Few Gooners thought Spurs could repeat their Champions League place challenge this season, but almost all Spuds believed it possible. However, as it transpires, it doesn’t look very likely after all.

We have had many visitors to this site informing us that Arsenal are a team in decline, whilst it will not be long before the team from White Hart Lane surpass us in a blaze of glory, however, it brings me great pleasure in announcing Spurs challenge as nothing more than a wet fart.

After equally poor starts, well Spurs had been a little worse than ours but you have to give ’em something, it now seems the We seemed have turned the corner with a crushing win over Manchester United followed up with a tidy result against Sheffield United, whereas Spurs just keep on losing.

After a summer of big talk, the WHL faithfull already find themselves with half the points of the Gunners having played an extra game, and with games against two unbeaten teams in Portsmouth and Aston Villa, it seems it won’t be long before that gap increases even further.
