Arsenal`s Sebastian Larsson has signed for Birmingham City on a permanent basis.

The young Swede originally signed for The Blues on a season-long loan but after impressing manager Steve Bruce, he has now signed a 4-year deal.

He was signed by Arsene Wenger for a nominal fee back in 2001 but he failed to make the grade at Arsenal.

Larsson has become a vital part of Birmingham`s team since his arrival, making appearances in all the midfield positions as well as playing as a full-back. He has cost the Blues £1,000,000

Upon signing him Bruce had this to say: “We are delighted to finally conclude the deal to bring Seb here on a permanent basis.

“He has done well since he has been here and can play in a number of positions.

“He is young, hungry and ambitious and he epitomises the kind of player this club needs to push forward.”

Vital Arsenal wish Larsson all the best with his future career, wherever it may take him.
