Thierry Henry has spoken out about Italian defenders, the Champions League & his painful season.

France face Italy in the World Cup Final this Sunday and comments regarding difficulties scoring Italian defenders seem to have annoyed Henry somewhat.

‘People talk about how difficult it is to score against Italian defenders’ said Henry ‘But I didn’t have trouble scoring against Italian teams in the Champions League So I don’t see why it should be different this time’

‘I constantly hear this talk about their defenders, yet the reason they don’t concede goals is because they defend as a team, not because Cannavaro or Marco Materazzi are great players’

Henry really does seem to enjoy playing against the Italian teams, in recent times he has scored a hat-rick against Roma, a couple against Juve in different ties & a brace against Inter Milan in a 5-1 demolishion. There can be no arguments that he certainly has them by the preverbials.

‘A month ago it was the Champions League final for me, now it is the World Cup Final, and this time, I want the right ending. It was a difficult season for me at Arsenal but the way it ended has been amazing’ Henry added.

You’re not wrong there Cap’ seeing the faces of the tiny totts on the last day will live forever in my memory.
