It was only a matter of time before the tired old hacks could no longer be bothered to do what they actually get paid to do, and start fabricating rumours of an ‘Henry to Spain’ story based on the premise that Arsenal are in 4th place and our kids are playing out of their skins.

There has been suggestions that the idea of the Arsenal board agreeing to let their prize asset move on (for the right price of course) may not be so ludicrous, and that the Frenchman himself may have become ‘bored’ with the Premiership.

However, with £50 million offers on the table for the last two summers, I doubt very much that after recently signing a new 4 year contract Thierry Henry & Arsenal would want to part company for a figure that is half that massive sum.

Indeed, the day that the Arsenal board has any say in whether or not a play will remain or depart from our great club, will be the day that Arsene Wenger hops on his bike and seeks pastures new.

Fortunately for Arsenal fans, Henry moved quickly to dispel all rumours, saying we know where his heart lies.

Saying simply ‘You know my commitment to the club, that is the most important thing. You know where my heart is.’

At least we didn’t have to wait till the end of the season again.
