Gilberto Happy To Help

Gilberto Silva has told Arsene Wenger he is more than happy to help the Gunners by playing what ever position necessary.

Bert has spent the last couple of games partnering William Gallas in the centre of defence, a position not alien to the big Brazilian, but not his favorite either.

‘It’s been hard to adjust because it’s been a long time since I played there,” he said. “I’m happy to play in midfield rather than in defence but I spoke to Arsène and when he needs me, I’m glad to help.!’

Gilberto also spoke of the need for the Arsenal players to stick together in these difficult times.

‘At this time we must stick together, especially after the hard weeks we have had. The last few days for us have been hard and painful.’
