Arsenal vice-chairman David Dein, wanted Saturday’s match at Fratton Park to go ahead, and is now concerned about the fixture congestion.

The game was unbelievably called off due to a waterlogged pitch, something that shouldn’t be happening in this day and age, and now, Arsenal will struggle to find a vacant date for the game.

David Dein has expressed hiss worrys and the fact the Arsenal team wanted the game to go-ahead.

‘It gives us a fixture problem because we are already going to play probably three games in the last six, seven days of the season and it’s difficult to know where we can reposition this particular fixture,’ Dein told Sky Sports News.

‘We would have liked to have played the game today, if the pitch was in a good shape we would have played it.’
