Arsenal’s Cesc Fabregas failed to win Gillette’s ‘Young Player Of The Tournament’ award, but at least it wasn’t Ronaldo. Small mercies.

Germany’s Lukas Podolski scooped the honour after voting by the public left Fifa with one of six young players to choose from.

Thank goodness they had the presence of mind to choose a player who doenst throw himself to the ground everytime he’s touched, the last thing we need is for this pretty boy show pony to become a role model for young players.

Anyway, well done Fabregas on getting yourself nominated in your first World Cup.
