Arteta Pleased With Defence

Mikel Arteta has said the hard work that the players have been doing on the training pitch is more than returning the rewards during games.

Speaking to arsenal.com the midfielder said our defensive improvements over the last few weeks were their for all to see, and it was giving us the perfect basis to build from and pick up more wins.

‘We have been trying to get everything tight and be more solid. Now we are on a run, we are keeping it together and getting clean sheets. That’s important.’

It was a good performance overall against West Bromwich Albion, and Arteta was pleased to take all 3 points.

‘I am pleased we won. We have a break now and it leaves you with a really bad sensation if you don’t win before one of those. We know we have the talent and desire in our team to get better.’
