Arsenal have handed a trial to 15-year-old Swedish defender Niklas Penttila.
As we all know, this lad is not the first to be ‘discovered` by Wenger. The studious Frenchman has found players like good ol` Paddy Vieira, Thierry Henry, Freddie Ljungberg, King Toure, Manu Eboue, Cesc Fabregas and most recently, Fran Merida.
Penttila is Wengers most audacious youth signing yet as he currently plays in the Swedish FIFTH division. That`s the equivalent of the Nationwide Conference in England!
Penttila is quoted as saying: ‘Arsenal is my favourite team so I am a bit nervous.’
‘It’s a dream come true.’
‘They seemed very interested, I hope I’ll do well when on trial.’
The news has infuriated Alan Pardew and he has decided to offer his services to Arsenal Football Club in order to get them relegate, I mean, to add some English ‘grit`.
