With the Euros in full swing club news is fairly thin on the ground and despite the Gunners already having Granit Xhaka in the bag we haven`t heard much from him as he quickly trotted off to meet up with the Swiss international squad.

So when Arsenal Player caught up with him it was nice to hear that he likes to beat Manchester United.

The Swiss midfielder said beating United and knocking them out of the CL group stages with Basel was the highlight of his career so far.

“I think [the best moment of my career] was a game against Manchester United for Basel. We played in Manchester and drew 3-3, then we played at home and won 2-1 to knock them out and progress to the next round.”

“It was big. Basel were a smaller club than Manchester United and to beat them 2-1 was a very nice moment.”

It is always incredibly good fun to beat Manchester United but with any luck that will just be a distant memory as his career highlights all become about challenging for, and winning, trophies.
