We started the day knowing one thing was almost 100% certain; Jack Wilshere would be leaving Arsenal on loan. The thing we didn’t know was where he would end up.

Bournemouth and Crystal Palace were the favourites to sign Wilshere this morning. Roma emerged as a strong candidates but that move broke down it seems with AC Milan’s interest coming to nothing.

Wilshere’s now arrived at Bournemouth, arriving at the club a few minutes ago to undergo his medical and complete his season-long loan deal to the Cherries with the free flowing passing football they play under Eddie Howe convincing him this is the right place for him to play this season.

This could, if he can stay injury-free, prove to be a turning point in Wilshere’s career for both club and country with Bournemouth benefiting in the short-term and all being well the Gunners in the longer-term.
