Jack Wilshere leaving Arsenal for his season-long loan with Bournemouth had been seen by many as the beginning of the end for him as far as his future at the club goes.

At 24 you can hardly say Wilshere is at the age where he ‘needed’ to go out on loan with him hardly a youngster is he – he took a ‘brave’ decision if you will to go and get regular football elsewhere.

He has a contract at Arsenal with Arsene Wenger adamant Wilshere does have a future with the club after his loan with Bournemouth, even if Jamie Redknapp has told Sky Sports he doesn’t ‘see a future’ with the Gunners.

Wilshere has reacted, saying he doesn’t know ‘where he got that from.’

‘I don`t know where he got that from. I`m just trying to get back to what I was, enjoying my football and playing week-in, week-out and today was a massive step towards that.’

Returning to the Emirates Stadium isn’t something he’s ‘really thought about’ but he’s not planning for a future away from the club either, adding.

‘I`ve not really thought about that so how other people can comment on it? If he doesn`t see me going back to Arsenal then that`s up to him. He`s entitled to his opinion but I haven`t thought about that.’

I’m not entirely convinced Wilshere will return to myself, what about you?
