According to – of all publications – the Daily Star Jack Wilshere ‘could be forced’ to quit Arsenal in the summer with Kieran Gibbs and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain set to follow him.

With all three having only 18 months left on their Arsenal contacts it has been claimed – well, certainly as far as Wilshere goes – a failure to hold talks on extended deals is casting major doubts over the trios long-term Gunners futures.

Specifically with Wilshere it was claimed these lack of contract talks has ‘left the door open’ for Roma and they plan to make an approach for the midfielder at the end of the season.

Roma had shown an interest in Wilshere prior to his season-long loan move to Bournemouth and will make a fresh approach for him.

However, Wilshere is said to have ‘reservations’ about going to Italy but it was ‘understood’ he’ll use this reported Roma interest to get a definitive answer from Arsenal on an offer of a new deal, which would be signed dependant on his level of first team involvement.

As for Gibbs and Oxlade-Chamberlain they also face ‘an uncertain future’ according to the Star but they WILL remain at the Emirates Stadium this month but could consider their futures in the summer.

Both players are reportedly open to leaving Arsenal – a year before they come to the end of their current contracts – in the summer if the England internationals aren’t getting more first team involvement before the end of the season.
