According to Sky Sports and the understanding of their sources, West Ham have shown an interest in taking Olivier Giroud across London.

Giroud’s made his stance pretty clear since the season ended, Arsene Wenger needs to play him more regularly or he’ll consider his options – having been strongly linked with a return to France at Marseille.

Arsene Wenger is openly looking to boost the Arsenal attacking options so losing a forward, taking into account Alexis Sanchez’s future is far from certain, wouldn’t be ideal. But the feeling is, despite Giroud only signing a new two and a half year contract in January, the French international will look to leave if he’s not given first team chances and the Gunners could actually sanction this exit for the right price.

Will West Ham be able to offer the right price? That’s another matter, but in a bid to strengthen their chances of taking him to the London Stadium, Giroud, 30, would be offered virtual assured first team football by West Ham boss Slaven Bilic, reportedly.
