With plenty still to play for (only if we beat Everton) and two months of the season still remaining, rumours had begun to circulate regarding the future of PSG`s Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Ibra`s PSG contract expires in the summer and he has expressed his desire to play for a London club, obviously the media immediately assumed Arsenal, who are currently lacking in goals, would be a shoe-in to sign him.

However Arsene Wenger put paid to that nonsense today by claiming it`s the first he`s heard of it.

At the moment, no, we are not on that case. We have other worries at the moment. It’s short-term. Even at 34, he’s had a great season at PSG. You can understand my priority ahead of Everton is not the transfer market or signings next season. I’m just surprised by the name you’ve thrown at me. We’re not thinking of signing anybody at the moment.”

Despite the rather attractive transfer fee of £0, at 34 years old and sporting an ego the size of North London, Ibrahimovic doesn`t strike me as the sort of player we need at the club. With only his wage packet to match the size of his massive head, having never played in the PL this footballing pensioner could have been a very expensive mistake.
