Everybody loves Alexis Sanchez, even fans from other teams respect him and what he brings to a football match, his flair, technical ability and almost robot-like work rate is a joy to watch.
His first season at Arsenal was fairly spectacular. It can sometimes take a player a while to acustomise to the rigours of the PL, but Sanchez hit the ground running and never stopped (almost literally). He was our top scorer for the season, won the FA Cup and scored one of the best FA Cup final goals ever seen.
He didn`t stop there though, he went on to help his national team win their first ever major honour, scoring the winning penalty in the final. Of course this meant he was late back to pre-season training and left him a little way behind some of the others.
He was brought back into action earlier than the gaffer would have liked, which seemingly led to a dip in his form. Though his work-rate never once dropped below 100%, things just weren`t going right for him.
