Theo Walcott will get to pull on the famous Arsenal shirt and make his debut, but not against West Brom.

Mr Wenger says Theo has come on leaps and bounds in training and is looking like a world class international.

Walcott joined Arsenal from Southampton in the January transfer window but is yet to make his debut, speaking at the pre-match press conference Arsene explained the situation.

‘Yes [he’ll play],’ said Wenger. ‘He is not in the squad for Saturday but he will be in the squad for Wednesday[against Villarreal].’

‘And I must say I am impressed by him in training. ‘

Le boss also made a tongue in cheek comment about Theo making the World Cup squad this year should Sven need a striker.

‘If England have a problem at the World Cup tell Sven to call me. I may have a good striker for him.’.

Surely West Brom at home would have been perfect for the lad. Looking at the remaining fixtures I can only imagine he will get a game at Sunderland away or possibly Wigan at home in the last ever game at Highbury should 4th place be already wrapped up by then 😉
