Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal future is as much uncertainly as it continues to divide opinion but this hasn’t curtailed ongoing links with Paris Saint Germain and now Real Madrid?

Madrid lead the way in Spain but this might not be enough to keep Zinedine Zidane in a job? Wenger has reportedly been ‘placed under consideration’ to take over from his fellow Frenchman at the Bernabeu. Well, according to AS via the Metro anyway.

Florentino Perez is seen as a ‘massive admirer’ of Wenger so the Madrid president would therefore bid to install him as boss if Zidane fails to see out a first La Liga success since 2012 – an alternative sporting director role has been mentioned.

These Madrid links come after further claims were made that Wenger is wanted at PSG? He has reportedly been ‘in negotiations’ with the French club for the past two weeks about replacing Unai Emery at the Parc des Princes this summer.

Wenger’s apparently made a decision on his Arsenal future but he’s not willing to openly share this news as yet. How much truth there is to the continued PSG rumours remains to be seen, admittedly they’ve held a long-term admiration, or indeed these Madrid links.

But facts of the matter remain the boss still seems to court interest from top European clubs? Which begs the question if he’s not good enough for Arsenal why would he be good enough for them? Should that be if he’s good enough for them why isn’t he good enough for the Gunners?
