Wenger Spying Again

Arsene Wenger is once again watching players at another club, however this one is on the books at Arsenal.

20 year old defender Justin Hoyte is currently on a season long loan at the stadium of light, but with many miles between the two clubs, it still doesn’t stop Arsene Wenger keeping a watchful eye on him.

Hoyte has been ever present in the Sunderland starting line up this season, only missing 2 games, the Carling cup match against Cheltenham and, through no fault of his own, the league game at Highbury, Hoyte was unable to play in that fixture due to premier league rules.

‘All the reports I’ve got about him are very good,’ said Wenger.

‘We watch him every time. I’ve spoken to Mick McCarthy, who said he’s been outstanding and, what is more, he has developed on the left flank.’

‘I always felt Justin would be a slow developer because he’s not a show-off man,’ he said.

‘He’s a quiet boy who needs to be encouraged. Those players develop more slowly.

‘The fact that he has made the position at Sunderland his own is fantastic for us.’
