Arsene Wenger and Alexis Sanchez have both been nominated from this year`s manager of the year award and Ballon d`Or.
Eyebrows may have been raised with the nomination of Arsene Wenger for this award, especially those who buy into Jose Mourinho`s bull crap, however these awards are decided on a yearly basis rather than season by season, and in 2015 no Premier League team have won more games than Arsenal not to mention the 2nd successive FA Cup win.
Arsene`s distinct brand of football has won admirers from all over the globe and even though it`s unlikely he will win, the Frenchman`s nomination is at least some recognition for the job he has done.
Less surprising is the nomination Alexis Sanchez has received for the Ballon d`Or. Sanchez has been a revelation since moving to Arsenal. Not only has he brought goals (incredible goals) to the side but a tenacious work ethic that is spreading throughout the team.
Sanchez not only scored one of the best goals the FA Cup Final has ever seen, but also helped his national side win their first ever major honour, scoring the winning penalty in the final.
I reckon Alexis has a pretty good chance of winning the award.
