Wenger On Flamini Cover Up?

Arsene Wenger claims Juventus are not interested in Mathieu Flamini after reports suggested the Frenchman had agreed to join the Old Lady.

In his traditional pre-match press conference, Wenger claimed that he had spoken to Juventus after they called him to say they were not interested in the steely midfielder.

‘No. Juventus called me and told me that they were not interested in Mathieu Flamini.’ Said Le Boss.

I’m not one to suggest that Wenger is on the cover up here, but I was under the impression that as Flamini is in the closing months of his current contract that he is free to speak to whoever he wishes? Would there be any need for Juventus to talk to Arsene?

However, I could be wrong, it has been known in the past.

Am I reading too much into this?
