After yet more speculation that Arsene Wenger is closing in on Franck Ribery, Le Boss has moved quickly to dispell these rumours.

He does admitt he admires the player, but has no need for him at this time.

“We have never made an offer to Marseille for Ribery, I find him a good player, but I do not look for any players at the moment because I feel I have exactly the squad I need.’ Said Wenger

“Offensively we have lost some players, but people like Rosicky have come in and the young players have also developed. So, at the moment, I am not looking for anybody to come in.”

I must say, and not for the first time, I agree with Mr Wenger. Who would he replace? In my humble opinion Rosicky and Hleb as fast improving (a scarey thought) from their already supremely talent status’ and we have Ljungberg (maybe he could be replaced) and Walcott.

I wouldn’t be gutted if he were to join, far from it, but in that same vein, I couldn’t care less if he didn’t.
