Arsene Wenger today hinted that his long term future lies with the Gunners.

Speculation has been rife that Wenger will leave at the end of his current contract, but Le Boss has issued a statement that suggests he could be here a little while longer.

Wengers current contract expires in 2008, but with his ‘new’ team making the future look bright, Wenger could be in it for ‘the long haul’.

Wenger said “If I left I would feel a deserter – like the guy who walks away from the army once there is a war. I am highly committed to this club.

‘I love what I do here and love the spirit of the team. I feel committed to the players and the club.’

‘I don’t consider for a second that I’ll change my mind,’ said Wenger.

‘I’ve started to build a new team again and want to see the job through.’

Arsene Wenger is the most important person at our club, he runs it from top to bottom and to lose him would be worse than losing the entire team.

Long live Le King!
