Arsene Wenger has dropped a quite sizable hint that he would be prepared to let Arsenal starlet, Jack Wilshere go out on loan should the right club come calling.

The Arsenal gaffer has often be known for sending young players out on loan to help them further their careers (or to try and make a sale, but let’s face it, that’s definitely NOT what’s happening here), but he’s usually less enthusiastic about sending his most promising prospects away.

However, Wenger seems to be open to the prospect of sending young Jack to get some playing time as long as the prospective club offers just that. Arsene would not be keen on sending him away to warm some one else’s bench, and that’s a fair call.

Wenger said, “Jack is impatient to play and he wants to play, He has the quality of a top-level player but he is still very young to throw in every week in the Premier League.’

We have had a few enquiries about him. But it is always a sensitive subject to give the players out on loan because you must trust the manager that they will play them. There is a real need there. But if he goes out on loan and [just] sits on the bench it is better that he stays and practices with us.”

What’s the betting that Arsene’s phone was ringing off the hook ten minutes after his quotes were published on Arsenal.com?
