The season hasn`t been exactly electrifying so far, but Saturday`s 5-2 win over Leicester felt like a step in the right direction.

Whilst our performances haven`t been fantastic (though not as bad as some would have you believe) we have seen glimpses of the slick Arsenal we`ve come to know and love this season, however this weekend`s game the Gunners shone (though we could have done better with their goals) and took another step closer to finding some form.

Theo looks more the striker with each passing game, Ozil and Cazorla both had their passing boots on, whilst Alexis Sanchez arrived back with a 3-pronged bang, it was great to see.

The Arsenal manager called it our “best display yet”.

“Certainly it was the most convincing [display of the season] going forward, yes, it was a tricky game because Leicester hadn`t lost, and I was a bit concerned because we did not want to lose ground on the other teams – so it was a big win for us.”

“I am pleased with [the strikers`] games. Giroud is sharp in training and in the matches as well, I think he played well at Tottenham.”

“Walcott is improving game after game, he holds the ball better up front, his movement is great and both of them scored, which is what you want.”

“I believe [Alexis] wasn`t back to his best after the Copa America, it took him a while to get his competitive edge and now he has played well again and he is back to his level.”

Before the season kicked off we would have looked at this fixture as one we should probably win, however Leicester have been absolutely superb and still looked very dangerous on Saturday so the value of this win is enormous, especially having lost our previous league match to Chelsea and with United coming to town next Sunday.
