Manager Arsene Wenger has been holding his pre Swansea City press conference, and in this part he talks about team news.

With Alexis Sanchex, Mesut Ozil, Laurent Koscielny and Petr Cech all sitting out the FA Cup third round tie against Preston North End last weekend, Wenger confirmed that all four would come back into the group for this weekend’s clash at the Liberty Stadium.

Speaking to the Official Site Wenger explained that it would basically be the same group that featured last weekend as we didn’t have any new injury concerns.

‘Basically we have the same players available as last week, plus Koscielny is coming back, Petr Cech is back in the squad, Mesut Ozil and Alexis as well.’

Questioned on the progress of Francis Coquelin and Hector Bellerin given their own injuries, Wenger explained they could be back in contention next week.

‘Hector Bellerin is still out, Francis Coquelin is still out – they could make next week, they are not far.’

Theo Walcott continues to remain on the sidelines and he’s going to be missing for three to four weeks.

‘Walcott is still out. He is one of the players who doesn`t come back. But he was not rested last week, he was injured. He is now out for three-and-a-half weeks, and I think he will not be available for Burnley. He will need another week, two more weeks.’

Despite Walcott being out for longer than expected, the gaffer wasn’t overly concerned.

‘Not concerned, because it was at the start a little calf problem, but he was not comfortable when he started to train again and we had to pull him out again.’
