Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger says he’s looking for his team to finish off a fine week with qualification to the Champions League knock out stages.

Having won their first three matches of the competition, the Gunners have stuttered recently, losing in the Ukraine and Portugal at Shakhtar Donetsk and Braga respectively, leaving them needing a win against the group’s whipping boys Partizan Belgrade to secure their progress.

They’ll be hoping for a win by Braga in Donetsk if they harbour hopes of topping the group and avoiding the likes of Barcelona and Real Madrid in the next round, although if the Portuguese side win and Arsenal slip up at the Emirates, then Europa League football will be on the agenda for the rest of the season.

We also get Wenger’s thoughts on the sacking of Newcastle United manager Chris Hughton, which has caused a stir in the football world.
