Arsene Wenger has effectively declared war on the F.A as he promised to clear Adebayor`s name.

Adebayor was dismissed in the final minutes of the carling Cup final after the linesman claimed he struck out at Fat Frank Lampard (I went a day without calling him fat, as promised).

The Togo striker was rightly upset after his red card and he now faces a further 3-match ban for refusing to leave the field of play.

Lampard himself released a statement denying any such incident but the dictatorship that is the F.A still sees fit to charge Adebayor.

Obviously Arsene Wenger is upset at this and on Wednesday he branded the linesman a ‘liar` for claiming Adebayor punched or attempted to punch Mr. Lampard.

The FA yesterday released a statement demanding Arsene Wenger explain his comments and the Arsenal manager today answered with this short, but sweet statement: ‘The whole system is not honest.” Bold but true.

Arsene then vowed to prove the officials and the FA wrong: ‘The referee and the linesman made a big mistake and I am able to prove it,’ he said. ‘Adebayor did not punch (Frank) Lampard and did not intend to and we can prove it.

‘It is not the truth. We do not accept that. I do not accept that the club is treated like that.

‘I will defend that to the FA. It was a lie and is not responsible.’

Wenger has also received support from Sheffield United boss Neil Warnock and Man city boss Stuart Pierce in his battle for justice.
