Manager Arsene Wenger has said that the pressure of the game on Sunday against West Bromwich Albion in our final league game of the season can only be a benefit to the players ahead of our FA Cup Final trip to Wembley to face Aston Villa.

Speaking to the Official Site ahead of the game tomorrow, Wenger talked about focus and how difficult it can be at the end of a season to not switch off when you get particular games that very little is riding on.

This year though we might need a point to secure third place in the Premier League and automatic qualification to the Champions League and with that pressure on, he feels it suits us more.

‘Every season we have had to focus until the last minute. So sometimes you would like to play a game where there is no pressure. But finally when you have one, you get bored, so at least we have to keep the concentration and it`s better. When you switch off it`s always difficult to switch on again. You always think ‘OK we`ll switch on`, but it`s not like that. When you switch off it is always difficult to switch on again, it`s not like when you switch on a light.’

Of importance is rectifying the fact we haven’t scored in three home games as well, but Wenger is confident we can do just that at the Emirates this weekend to set us up nicely for Wembley.

‘Swansea came here and played four-six, no striker, Sunderland defended very well and in both games the two goalkeepers had exceptional games. I am not especially concerned, let`s just focus on our game. What is important is to finish well and to score again. We are a team that can score goals, we want to finish on a high and secure that third place.’
