Goalscorer Theo Walcott has been giving his own thoughts following victory over Stoke City at the weekend.

Hosting the side at the Emirates Stadium and having to fightback from a goal behind to take a three one victory, Walcott told the Official Site that everybody in the group was contibuting when called upon – not least the substitutes in this particular game who he felt impressed.

Name checking in particular Hector Bellerin slotting in, and Alex Iwobi who completed the scoring on the day following his second half introduction.

The statistics show that goals from the bench so far this season total six and that’s more than any other sides tally in the top flight.

‘It`s going well for us at the moment. The use of the squad as well – I can`t praise enough the amount of players that are ready when they`re called upon. Obviously like Alex did today – 2-1 is not a nice sort of score at the time but he had a fantastic finish after great work from Alexis.’

As for his own goal, well the overall result put Arsenal joint top with Chelsea on Saturday evening and for Walcott in particular it wasn’t just the leveller on the day, it was also his 50th goal at the Emirates Stadium and took him into double figures for the season so far – and he joked it entitled him to an early Christmas present in the process.

‘Time to get my coffee machine my wife promised me! I`ve got my 10 for the season at the moment – I want to make it much, much more. But more importantly I want this team to win something. But like I say, it`s all come down to hard work. Me personally, I`ve been working really hard and I think it`s just breeding into the whole team and that`s what the team is about.’
