The Premier League season continued with the latest round of games played over the weekend.

Chelsea closed the gap on leaders Manchester City when seeing off Newcastle in Saturday’s early kick off. Manchester United did likewise to round off the day when beating Arsenal in the evening game – of course, City have a game in hand to be played on Sunday.

An emphatic Liverpool win was secured at Brighton. Meanwhile, the other half of Merseyside, Everton, made it successive wins as Sam Allardyce got underway with a victory over Huddersfield.

West Brom, under former Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew, had to be content with a point at the Hawthorns when Palace – now under ex-Albion boss Roy Hodgson – returned to London with a draw.

Here’s a round-up of the Premier League results with some games to take place.
