The FA Cup season continued with the fifth round with these games played over the weekend.

A season of upsets continued with non-league Lincoln making it into the last eight along with Millwall – they saw off Burnley and Leicester respectively. Sutton’s run ended against Arsenal though.

Here’s a round up of the action from the other games played.

Another giant killing act was caused by Lincoln with the non-league side dumping Premier League side Burnley out of the FA Cup with a last minute winner claimed the Imps the Clarets’ scalps. This 1-0 victory took them into quarter-finals.

Huddersfield and Manchester City will have to replay for the right for a place in the last eight. Town’s best chance might have gone with City almost certain to be the favourites in the Etihad Stadium replay.

Premier League survival will be Middlesbrough’s priority but the 3-2 win over Oxford – who had battled back from two down – was secured via a late goal at the Riverside Stadium.

Millwall’s push for promotion back to the Championship – a level Leicester are looking to avoid dropping too – will be slightly distracted by at least one more tie. The Lions’ 90th minute winner secured a 1-0 victory over the Foxes as a miserable season just got worse.

A bid for a domestic double remains on for Chelsea. The Premier League leaders moved into the quarter-finals after a 2-0 win over Wolves. Paul Lambert will now turn his focus back to the Championship and ensure his side remain in the second tier with relegation into League 1 still a danger.

The games on Sunday saw Fulham aiming to cause another FA Cup upset but that wasn’t to be against Tottenham. A Harry Kane hat trick saw Spurs to a 3-0 win at Craven Cottage.

Blackburn had taken the lead – with another fifth round upset on the cards – against Manchester United. However, the Premier League side came back to secure a 2-1 win tot book a place in the last eight.

The final game of the round – well, the original ties anyway – saw Sutton’s amazing FA Cup adventure finally came to an end when Arsenal did enough to see off the non-league side 2-0 on Monday. The Gunners were basically in a ‘no win situation’ but Arsene Wenger knew victory was a must. With another non-league side – Lincoln – awaiting in the quarter-finals it’ll be the same again next month but a semi-final place should be secured.
