Arsenal’s Champions League season continued with a win against Basel at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday.

Three-points were secured after a two-nil win by Arsenal over Basel to leave the Gunners in a good position to qualify from Group A along with Paris Saint-Germain.

An early lead was taken when Walcott headed home a cross from Sanchez to give Arsenal a perfect start with just seven-minutes played.

The lead was doubled ahead of the half hour mark when Sanchez and Walcott again combined as the England international continued his run of goal.

Arsenal could have won more convincingly, and would have had it not been for Basel ‘keeper Vaclik to prevent Sanchez and Bellerin. Basel’s best chance came the way of Bjarnason with the Gunners now on an eight-match unbeaten run.

Here’s a round up of the Champions League action from the other matches played.
