Swansea could move off the bottom of the Premier League with a victory at Newcastle – who would then be dragged back into the relegation battle – on Saturday.
However, the Swans will remain rooted to the foot whatever the result should West Brom record all three points against Brighton – both clubs cannot get out of trouble though.
They have to wait until Sunday, but should unbeaten Manchester City win at Liverpool Pep Guardiola’s side will move 18 points clear of Manchester United, who will be in action against struggling Stoke on Monday night.
